B.A.B.E. (Braids And Business Education) was founded in 2018 on Florida's Treasure Coast. It was built from faith, purpose, and a burning desire to give young women exposure, skills, and opportunity.

Dioneshia Johnson
Founder & President, Braids And Business Education
Dioneshia Johnson is the Founder and President of Braids And Business Education (B.A.B.E.). A college graduate with a degree in Business Administration and Management, Dioneshia combined her passion for business, beauty, and youth development to create a program that empowers the next generation of leaders and beauty industry professionals.
As the retired owner and braid stylist of Xpression Hair Studio, she used her platform and experience behind the chair to mentor young people and cultivate confidence, discipline, and creativity through hands-on learning opportunities.
Since 2018, Dioneshia has served her community by building youth entrepreneurial thinkers and braiders through Braids And Business Class, which officially transitioned into the nonprofit organization Braids And Business Education (B.A.B.E.) in 2024. As a former student-athlete from elementary school through college, she values teamwork, leadership, consistency, and relationship-building — principles that continue to shape the culture and mission of B.A.B.E.
Through workshops, mentorship programs, and workforce development initiatives, she is committed to helping youth discover ownership opportunities within the beauty industry while developing life and business skills that extend far beyond braiding.
